Taxes. Nobody likes to talk about them at social events (much to my disappointment), and nobody likes to pay them. How did I, a middle school Engineering teacher, become interested in them? Well, you could say that taxes are in my blood... and my blood-in-law.
My late grandfather was an Enrolled Agent and my father-in-law is a Registered Tax Return Preparer. My wife encouraged me to take a class at H&R Block, citing that taxes were the perfect intersection between my frugality and my odd ability to stay organized while filing detail-orientated paperwork. My curiosity was peaked and I decided to pursue the course. I loved it.
Over the past decade, this practice has grown into a focused, specialized office. In addition to helping my core base of individual tax clients, I have spent the last four years working directly alongside regional estate planning and tax attorneys to execute highly technical fiduciary trust tax compliance. I also bring specialized experience in non-profit tax preparation, having spent two years preparing data for a private non-profit school's mandatory annual CPA financial audits and reporting requirements. Today, I combine this real-world experience with ongoing, yearly continuing education as an IRS Annual Filing Season Program participant to ensure your federal and Massachusetts compliance remains mathematically precise and strictly optimized.
"Looks like the numbers all add up."
